Practice Manager – Multi-Site GP Group (Slough)

A large, well-established GP group in Slough is looking to appoint an experienced Practice Manager to lead its main site, which acts as the central hub across four locations.
This is a senior leadership opportunity within a complex, high-performing organisation supporting approximately 38,000 patients, with around 100 staff across the group. The structure is well-supported, including a dedicated HR team, Finance Manager, and Rota Manager, allowing you to focus on strategic and operational leadership.
As the lead site for the PCN, this role also offers significant involvement in network-level strategy, performance, and service delivery.
The Role
You will take overall responsibility for the operational performance, compliance, and financial management of the main site, while supporting consistency and coordination across multiple locations.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead day-to-day operations across a large, multidisciplinary team
* Ensure full CQC compliance and high standards of governance
* Oversee financial performance, including budgeting and income reconciliation
* Manage and understand GP income streams, including enhanced services and submissions (DES, LES, PCN, CQRS)
* Work closely with the Finance Manager on reporting and financial planning
* Lead on contracts, performance monitoring, and service delivery
* Support multi-site working and ensure alignment across all locations
* Contribute to PCN strategy and initiatives as the lead practice
About You
* Experienced Practice Manager within primary care
* Strong understanding of multi-site operations
* Confident with GP finance, income reconciliation, and enhanced services
* Excellent knowledge of CQC and regulatory requirements
* Proven leadership skills managing large teams
* Able to balance strategic oversight with hands‑on operational delivery
