Job overview

We are recruiting for a Data Administrator who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.

This role is central to the smooth running of our theatre service. You will provide high-quality administrative support, supervision, and training to both clinical and non-clinical teams, helping ensure that theatre sessions run efficiently and in line with Trust Access Policy.

A key part of the role is maintaining the accuracy and integrity of data within the theatre management system, identifying and correcting missing or incorrect information, validating theatre reports, and supporting the service to make the best possible use of its theatre capacity.

You will play an active part in the day-to-day operational management of Theatres, working closely with colleagues to resolve issues quickly. The role requires someone who can juggle competing pressures, work independently with confidence, and handle frequent interruptions while maintaining a strong focus on accuracy and service quality.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will develop and maintain a detailed knowledge of all relevant Trust policies.

Communicate effectively with your team, ensuring administration and theatre staff are fully trained on the theatre management system (currently Bluespier) & appreciate the need for timely & accurate data input.

Analyse Trust data sources to provide internal routine reports based on standard operational procedures. This may involve manipulating and analysing data from multiple sources with the main focus on data quality and any service improvements required.

Prioritise own workload, using initiative, whilst dealing with frequent interruptions. Communicate effectively and liaise between all disciplines of staff throughout the hospital.

Provide efficient reception / administrative support in all aspects of the department’s work as directed by the Theatre Manager / Data Manager always maintaining confidentiality. Ensuring Main Theatre Reception is staffed 08:30 – 16:00 Monday – Friday (not including Bank Holidays).

Support data quality within all divisions. This will involve working closely with managers & key players to ensure all activity is captured & reported correctly.
