Early Years Practitioner – Holmes Chapel Community Pre‑school
Are you passionate about working with children, or keen to try a new challenge? Would you like to make a change to young lives and support children in their early development, whilst working as part of a village community.
We have a vacancy for an Early Years Practitioner at Holmes Chapel Community Pre‑school, to start from May 2026. You will work as part of the Pre‑school team, under the direction of the Manager/Deputy Manager to provide safe, high‑quality education and care for young children.
Responsibilities
* Provide safe, high‑quality education and care for young children as part of the preschool team.
* Deliver wrap‑around care, including breakfast and after‑school club, and cover staff absences or training sessions.
* Support children’s development and contribute to the planning and delivery of learning sessions.
* Gather and share best practice and fresh ideas within the small, experienced and qualified team.
Qualifications
* Preferable to hold a recognised Level 2 or 3 qualification in early years; we welcome experience in early years and a creative mind to inspire young learners.
* Knowledgeable about children’s development and the EYFS.
* Some experience working with SEN children is preferable, although not essential.

Work Hours & Schedule
The post is for a minimum of two days per week, with flexibility to cover staff absences and training on other days. Hours are typically between 7.45 am and 6.15 pm Monday to Friday, with a combination of mornings, afternoons and full days. This position is term‑time only and may require additional sessions and inset days for training and planning.
