About the job you're considering:
The Senior Bid Writer will work in the Competitive Bid Management function within our Client Account Management team, supporting the ambition for growth in the UK Public Sector. Reporting to the Competitive Bid Management Lead, the Senior Bid Writer role is focused specifically on supporting and winning competitive bids within UK Public Sector.
Your role:
Play an integral role in producing bid responses by:
1. Understanding key Buyer requirements and identifying hot buttons and pain points to be addressed
2. Building relationships and working closely with Subject Matter Experts to convert raw material into highly compelling bid responses and sales proposals
3. Reviewing, editing and re-engineering content authored by others to build compelling responses with the aim of scoring maximum points
4. Applying high-quality standards of grammar, layout and readability, adhering to any prescribed compliance instructions set by the Buyer
5. Developing win-themes and identifying where these should be applied across responses
Your skills and experience:
Are you an experienced bid writer who has worked within an IT services and Public Sector environment?
Do you have a passion and enthusiasm for developing winning responses and continually improving ways of working? If so then we have the perfect opportunity for you to join our team!
Essential skills:
6. Consistent and demonstrable experience of large and/or complex deals in which the quality of written submissions is a key factor in winning the deal.
7. Demonstrable experience in winning public sector bids including common government frameworks
8. Broad experience of technical writing, for example on topics such as Infrastructure, Applications and Digital Transformation, blending traditional offerings experience with innovative technologies and approaches
9. Strong copywriting skills applied to technical subject matter and clearly articulating win themes and business value
10. Able to develop junior and inexperienced team members on best practice writing skills
Desirable skills
11. APMP certification would be an advantage but not essential
