About the Role
We are recruiting for a Temporary Accounts Assistant. This is a varied, hands‑on role requiring strong organisation, accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment. You will be working as part of a supportive finance team where communication, efficiency, and attention to detail are essential. The role is office based only, working from the teams Essex office.
Key Responsibilities
* Processing purchase ledger invoices and credit notes
* Managing purchase ledger payments
* Raising and processing sales ledger invoices and receipts
* Maintaining multi‑currency cash books and performing bank reconciliations
* Preparing weekly payment runs
* Managing and monitoring a shared finance email inbox
* Providing general finance and administrative support to the team as required
About You
* Flexible, confident, and able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
* A strong communicator with a professional telephone manner and client‑focused approach
* Highly organised with excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and efficiency
* Competent in MS Excel, Word, Outlook, and accounting software
* A proactive team player who can also work independently when required
