This role offers an exciting opportunity for a proactive, strategic, and ambitious sales professional to play a key role in shaping our sales operations, working directly with the company directors to drive revenue growth, expand our customer base, and develop long-term partnerships.
The Role
As Sales Manager, you will be responsible for:
✅ Developing and executing a strategic sales plan aligned with company objectives.
✅ Identifying and cultivating new business opportunities in both existing and emerging markets.
✅ Managing the full sales cycle—from lead generation to closing deals.
✅ Building strong customer relationships with businesses, individual consultants, and academic institutions.
✅ Collaborating with marketing and product teams to refine go-to-market strategies.
✅ Staying ahead of industry trends and competitive insights to inform sales strategies.
✅ Providing sales forecasts and performance reports to senior management.
Key Responsibilities🔹 Sales Leadership & Growth
- Define and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve revenue targets.
- Initially, the focus will be on direct sales efforts and developing scalable sales process and best practices to support business growth.
- As the business expands, there may be an opportunity to recruit, develop and manage new sales representatives as required.
🔹 Business Development & Market Expansion
- Identify new revenue opportunities and establish relationships with prospective clients.
- Conduct targeted outreach through networking, cold calling, email campaigns, and industry events. Including, attending meetings with clients (as required) and agreed trade shows to promote the company and increase visibility.
- Develop tailored proposals that clearly communicate the value proposition of our software solutions.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing to secure profitable and sustainable deals.
🔹 Sales Operations & Customer Management
- Oversee the entire sales cycle—from prospecting to deal closure.
- Ensure effective use of Capsule CRM for lead tracking and customer relationship management.
- Deliver compelling sales presentations and software demonstrations.
- Address client concerns, provide technical insights, and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
🔹 Market Intelligence & Strategy
- Work closely with marketing and company leadership to align sales strategies with overall business goals.
- Analyse industry trends, customer needs, and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities.
- Provide regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance insights as well as recommendations for growth.
Who We're Looking ForRequired Skills & Experience
🔸 Technical Knowledge:
- Experience in software sales.
- Ability to quickly learn and master technical software packages.
- Familiarity with IT solutions, cloud computing, and hardware infrastructure, would be preferred.
🔸 Sales Acumen:
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a competitive B2B IT/software sales environment.
- Ability to drive and close deals with small businesses, enterprise clients, and academia.
🔸 Communication & Relationship Building:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to clients.
- Strong ability to develop and maintain long-term relationships with key stakeholders.
🔸 Negotiation & Commercial Strategy:
- Confidence in contract negotiation and pricing strategies to secure high-value deals.
🔸 Leadership & Team Development (preferred):
- Experience leading and growing a sales team, either in a formal management role or as a senior sales professional would be preferred but not essential.

✔ Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Engineering, or a related field with a focus on technology.
✔ 3+ years’ experience in B2B sales, ideally within a small company environment.
✔ Proficiency in CRM software and sales automation tools.
