CNC Programmer (CAD/CAM) Role Overview:
We are looking for an experienced 5-Axis CNC Programmer with a strong background in precision machining to take on a key role in programming, setting, and supporting the manufacture of high-spec components. The successful candidate will be responsible for offline programming using CAD/CAM software, and will be expected to play a hands-on role in the setting and optimisation of CNC processes.
CNC Programmer (CAD/CAM) Key Responsibilities:
* Offline programming of complex 5-axis CNC parts using industry-standard CAD/CAM software
* Creating programs for precision-machined components used in aerospace, defence, and motorsport applications
* Reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings and 3D models
* Selecting tools, speeds, and feeds to ensure efficient and accurate machining
* CNC machine setting and supporting first-off production runs
* Working closely with machinists and engineering to resolve production issues
* Contributing to continuous improvement and process optimisation
CNC Programmer (CAD/CAM) Requirements:
* Proven experience as a 5-Axis CNC Programmer within a high-precision engineering environment
* Strong CAD/CAM programming skills with experience using offline programming software
* Excellent understanding of precision machining principles, tooling, and materials
* Ability to set and prove out complex CNC programs on the machine
* Experience working within sectors such as aerospace, defence, or Formula 1
* Strong attention to detail and ability to work to tight tolerances
* Effective communicator with a team-oriented mindset
CNC Programmer (CAD/CAM) What We Offer:
* £45,000-£48,000 per annum, dependent on experience
* Overtime available and paid at 1.5x standard rate
* Stable days-based working hours (Mon–Fri, 7:30am to 4:00pm)
