This position is based at The Vox – B40 1PU
As a furniture porter, your responsibilities include delivering all furniture requirements and supporting the FM Support Manager in completing daily operational tasks related to furniture setup.
You will ensure that all furniture requirements are delivered and managed to OCS standards and the client’s expectations, providing exceptional service to all visitors.
Working hours are event-dependent, with day and night shifts available (Day – between 6am and 4pm; Night – between 6pm and 6am).
Main Duties:
1. Carry out all tasks according to contract specifications and legislation, including Health & Safety and personal hygiene standards.
2. Set venue furniture as per the event plan, ensuring all furniture is in perfect condition.
3. Keep company-provided uniform clean and tidy; wear it at all times while at work. Identity badge must be visible.
4. Deliver services safely following all OCS operating standards; report accidents and dangerous occurrences.
5. Respond to internal client and supplier requests, both standard and nonstandard.
6. Maintain, store, and service all on-site furniture.
7. Monitor and record breakages.
8. Check and maintain all areas of responsibility.
9. Maintain cleanliness in back-of-house areas and furniture store.
10. Communicate regularly with colleagues about safety to ensure a free flow of ideas and high morale.
