Wood is currently recruiting for a Regional Project Manager to join our Project management Organisation (PMO) on a full-time staff basis. We are open to applications from across the UK to be based at any of our main offices on a hybrid working basis with fully remote working to be considered. The Role In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring regional project delivery aligns with Wood’s project management and operational assurance standards. As a champion of the project management function, you will offer project management leadership, strategic direction, governance, and support compliance across the consultancy business. Additionally, you will coach, mentor, and support the project management discipline. This hands-on role requires direct engagement with the project management community, deploying a strategic spanning and layering approach to project delivery within the region. Customer engagement and satisfaction are key deliverables, and you will lead by example to ensure safety performance excellence across all consultancy projects. Consultancy project values range from a few £k to £Ms. The project management discipline across the region needs to be flexible in approach to deliver a growing business in both complexity and value. Foster a culture of belonging and value addition for the team and organisation. Coach, mentor, and support the project management discipline Leadership and Governance: Champion the project management function by providing PMO leadership, strategic direction, governance, and process compliance across the consultancy business Assurance: Ensure the Project Management function is consistent, effective, and utilises applicable PM tools and best practices Continuous Improvement: Focus on continuous improvement of Project Management System processes, tools, and templates Governance Process: Challenge complacency and provide value to Wood and its customers through continuous benchmarking and implementation of best practices Project Start-Up: Ensure accountability for baseline management at the outset of all projects and programs Project Close-Out: Capture continuous improvement and lessons learned during project close-out Proposal Review: Provide oversight for project management discipline in reviewing proposals Customer Engagement: As needed, engage with customers to ensure satisfaction, both internally and externally Qualifications What makes you remarkable? Expected Degree Qualified From a reputable institution in a relevant technical or business discipline Project Delivery Experience: Proven track record in delivering projects and programs within a consultancy environment Complex Project Management: Experience managing complex projects with a structured approach to ensure consistent results Project Analysis and Status Reporting: Working knowledge and history of application of earned value and other project monitoring techniques.
