Working hours: hours per week, scheduled between Monday and Sunday. The primary shift will be Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Please note that occasional weekend work may be required, depending on business needs.

As an Accuracy Checking Dispensing Assistant supporting our Pet Health division, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe, timely, and precise dispensing of veterinary prescriptions in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Acting as the final checker, you will uphold the highest standards of accuracy and compliance, ensuring all prescriptions are dispensed daily and meet internal performance targets.
You'll collaborate closely with pharmacy teams and cross-functional departments to maintain robust quality controls, support clinical operations, and contribute to a workplace culture that is professional, friendly, and purpose-driven.

What you'll be doing?
* Ensure all prescriptions received are dispensed daily
* Support the Pet Health clinical team with day to day activities
* Comply with P2U dispensary operations procedure and meet internal targets for dispensing quality and accuracy
* Adhere to all legal, ethical, professional and company requirements
* Working within a high-volume environment
* Meeting set targets for individuals and team to meet business targets
* Taking ownership of prescription labelling and accuracy
* Ensure appropriate quality controls are in place and communicate to pharmacy teams
* Working with key teams across the business (customer service, purchasing, operations & pharmacists
* Participate in continuous professional development (CPD)
* Ensuring that the workplace remains fun, relaxed and friendly
Who are we looking for?
* Holds a valid Accuracy Checking Dispensing Assistant qualification and is committed to keeping it up to date.
* Has extensive experience in a pharmacy setting—community or online—with a strong understanding of ethical and regulatory standards.
* Brings knowledge or interest in veterinary prescriptions, ideally with prior experience in pet health dispensing.
* Demonstrates exceptional attention to detail, especially when working under pressure and tight deadlines.
* Thrives in a collaborative environment, supporting both pharmacy and cross-functional teams with professionalism and positivity.
* Is confident using IT systems, including Excel at an intermediate level, and quick to adapt to new tools.
* Shows initiative, drive, and a proactive mindset, with a passion for continuous professional development (CPD).
