Responsibilities

1. Your role will be to carry out valuation instructions efficiently and with a high degree of independence within the context of the wider Valuation Team. This will include the preparation of concise, and accurate valuation reports ready for Director review and sign ‐ off.
2. Day to day, you will be expected to collaborate with valuation colleagues and to assume personal responsibility for valuation instructions.
3. You will be encouraged to work smartly and efficiently in order to maximise profitability.
4. Avison Young has established procedures and safeguards in place to ensure that regulatory, quality and other corporate standards are met and you would be expected to embrace these and proactively seek to develop them.
5. To identify opportunities to grow the Midlands’ Valuation business.
6. To collaborate openly with colleagues across Avison Young to realise new business opportunities. Avison Young has exciting Strategic Ambitions and you will be expected to be familiar with these and contribute to their attainment.

Qualifications

Technical Skills

7. Proficiency in the Microsoft Office 365 software
8. Proficiency in using valuation software, ideally including KEL and Argus Developer, although training in these applications can be provided where required

9. A commercial and pragmatic approach to ‘real world’ business and property issues
10. Good organisational skills
11. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
12. A commitment to delivering high-quality work
13. Flexibility and resilience in working arrangements
14. Excellent report writing skills
15. Good data management skills
16. Strong collaboration skills
17. Ability to work to deadlines.

Experience

18. RICS qualification (FRICS/MRICS)
19. RICS Registered Valuer
20. A good working knowledge of the RICS ‘Red Book’ and relevant guidance notes.
