Are you passionate about supporting young people to reach their potential? Do you thrive on making a difference in rural communities? We're looking for a dedicated Youth Employment Coach to join our team, working across the Leiston to Woodbridge area.

About the Role

The Youth Employment Service is a drop-in support service for young people aged 16–25 who are not currently in education, employment or training (NEET). We offer practical support, advice, and guidance to help young people move into paid work, voluntary roles, apprenticeships, education or training.

As a Youth Employment Coach, you'll be the key point of contact for young people in your patch, helping them build confidence, develop employability skills, and take positive steps toward their future.

Key Objectives

* Develop innovative ways to engage young people in rural areas with limited transport access.
* Build strong relationships with local employers and partners to keep Labour Market Information (LMI) up to date.
* Deliver impartial Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG), including CV support, job searching and interview prep.
* Achieve key outcomes: 55% of young people into employment and 25% into further education or training.
* Champion and embody Inspire Suffolk's values in all aspects of your work.

Main Responsibilities

* Provide one-to-one and group support sessions focused on employability and progression.
* Manage a caseload of young people, ensuring consistent engagement and support.
* Maintain accurate records using our CRM system (VIEWS).
* Collaborate with local organisations, employers, and community contacts.
* Attend network meetings and support recruitment for Inspire programmes.
* Ensure safeguarding and health & safety are prioritised in all activities.

What We're Looking For

* Experience working with young people, ideally in an advisory or coaching capacity.
* Strong understanding of local labour markets and progression pathways.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* Ability to work independently across a rural patch.
* Commitment to Inspire Suffolk's mission and values.

Join our fantastic team at Inspire and enjoy a range of benefits to enhance your own well-being, improve your work-life balance and most importantly make a difference to the lives of the young people we work with. Here is what makes us a great place to work:
