We are looking for an experienced electronic engineer to lead the development of electronic hardware for a range of high-performance video and imaging processing products which are sold under the Vision4ce brand. The hardware team consists of a group of highly motivated electrical, electronic and mechanical engineers with a wealth of experience. Projects are focussed on providing practical solutions to real world scenarios. Key Responsibilities: Provide technical leadership and oversight of all hardware development activities within the Wokingham based team. Collaborate with other engineering teams and production in the delivery of multi-disciplinary projects. Ensure that the hardware team maintains an awareness of current and new technologies. Participate in the development of product roadmaps. Ensure that the team remains focussed on delivery of projects that will meet or exceed customers’ expectations. Work with project managers and sales teams to provide time estimates for development activities. Delivery of projects which are on time and to budget. Ensure the development of the team competencies to meet the needs of the business. Support the professional development of staff. Use continuous improvement techniques with a focus on fact-based problem solving to improve efficiency and productivity of the hardware team. Skills & Experience Essential Degree in Electronics Engineering or similar engineering discipline. Extensive experience in a senior electronics design role covering analogue and digital circuits as well as high performance processors. Experience of the full lifecycle of product development. Proven people management skills. Good problem-solving skills. Desirable Have experience in the Defence industry or similar sectors (for example, scientific equipment manufacturers, special purpose machine builders or high-end customisation companies). Experience of analogue and digital video. FPGA development. PCB design. EMC best practice.
