MANDATORY Specialist Role Requirements
This is a specialist, DSA:funded role, meaning all candidates must strictly adhere to the qualification framework set out by the Department for Education (DfE).
You MUST possess the following:
Undergraduate Degree (Level 6 minimum). A recognised Teaching Qualification. Extensive Training in Adult Autism, which may include: Option 1: 6 National Autistic Society Modules (Non:Medical Helper package). The modules cover Understanding Autism, Communication, Sensory Experience, Stress and Anxiety, Supporting Families, and Autism and Girls. OR Option 2: The Optimum Training Course focusing on Autism and ADHD in Higher Education.

Proven experience working with autistic clients. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Strong organisational skills and the ability to effectively manage a caseload of students.
