NEBOSH QUALIFIED HEALTH & SAFETY SPECIALIST WITH A BACKGROUND IN THE WASTE MANAGEMENT & RECYCLING SECTOR, IDEALLY WITH SOME EXPOSURE TO ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT AND QUALITY MANAGEMENT TITLE: Health & Safety Advisor / Officer – Waste Management & Recycling SALARY: £40-50K DOE plus Just under £8K Car Allowance, Bonus Scheme, 25 days holB/H, Death in Service - x 2 salary, Birthday Leave LOCATION: Home Based with regular travel, you will be based between north home counties and the midlands PREVIOUS ROLES MAY HAVE BEEN: Health & Safety Coordinator, QHSE Officer, HSEQ Advisor, Compliance Officer, SHEQ Coordinator, Health & Safety Advisor, Health & Safety Manager ROLE: Health & Safety Advisor / Officer – Waste Management & Recycling You will be responsible for frontline Health and Safety Management, and assist with Environment and Quality at sites across the country You will deliver training, inductions, write RAMS etc. You will innovate and work to drive performance vs relevant KPI’s e.g. improving near miss reporting, reducing LTA’s and RIDDOR’s and make sure regular audits are in place EXPERIENCE: Health & Safety Advisor / Officer - Waste Management & Recycling You will currently work in a safety role in the Waste and Recycling Sector and be familiar with waste transfer / transportation documentation, and have 3 years’ experience You will have a NEBOSH General Certificate or a level 3 qualification or above in Health and Safety DEGREE QUALIFIED HEALTH AND SAFETY GRADUATE CONSIDERED Any affiliations that would be desirable include TechIOSH, GradIOSH, CMIOSH, IEMA ISO Management systems experience ideal You will have excellent IT skills PREVIOUS ROLES MAY HAVE BEEN: Health & Safety Coordinator, QHSE Officer, HSEQ Advisor, Compliance Officer, SHEQ Coordinator, Health & Safety Advisor, Health & Safety Manager
