Job Description
This is a Long Term Temporary position starting ASAP. The essential criteria include:
* Degree in Social Work
* SWE Registration
* Right to work within the UK
The primary purpose of the role is to manage a caseload of Service Users with complex needs, model and facilitate reflective practice, support Social Workers in managing caseloads, and provide professional supervision as needed. The role involves supporting the development and leadership of the Social Care workforce to safeguard and promote the wellbeing of vulnerable adults and their families, delivering high-quality services. It also includes providing leadership and expertise in complex situations, challenging practices, and promoting innovation.
Main Responsibilities
* Ensure statutory obligations to safeguard adults are met, complying with legislation, policy, and procedures.
* Gather and critically analyze information to inform risk assessments and plans.
* Make robust casework decisions with detailed analysis and professional judgment.
* Manage a complex caseload with appropriate supervision and support.
* Prepare written statements for court hearings and applications to the Court of Protection.
* Possess a critical knowledge of social work theories and intervention methods.
* Supervise and develop team members, including ASYE and students, ensuring high standards.
* Engage in risk management and advise on resource needs.
* Collaborate with colleagues and external agencies, chairing multi-agency meetings.
* Work within local teams to deliver integrated services, reducing the need for specialist interventions.
* Develop and implement assessment and information sharing protocols.
* Communicate effectively in challenging circumstances and respond to the needs of adults and families.
* Ensure reports are clear, accurate, and submitted on time.
* Encourage involvement of service users in assessments and decisions.
* Promote best practices across the team.
Minimum Requirements
* Professional qualification in social work
* Social Work England registration
* Enhanced DBS/Update service
* References for the last 5 years of employment
