Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate early years practitioner to join our team. We are a small private nursery with a small friendly team and a beautiful outdoor forest on site to spend lots of time outside. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a passion for nurturing young children in a safe and stimulating environment. As a Nursery Nurse, you will play a vital role in the development and well-being of children, fostering their growth through engaging activities and attentive care. Our curriculum has a strong ethos for the outdoors and exploring our local areas and environments.
Duties
* Provide high-quality care and education to children in the nursery setting.
* Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development.
* Observe and assess children's progress, ensuring individual needs are met.
* Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's development and well-being.
* Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for all children.
* Support children in developing social skills, independence, and confidence.
* Collaborate with colleagues to create an inclusive atmosphere that encourages teamwork.
* Manage daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and play sessions.
Skills
* Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles.
* Excellent leadership abilities to guide and inspire both children and staff.
* Experience working with children in a nursery or similar setting.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
* Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, particularly in English.
* A genuine passion for childcare and the ability to drive positive outcomes for children's development.
* Patience, empathy, and the ability to build trusting relationships with children and families.
