Main Duties
Curriculum Planning & Teaching
* Plan and deliver engaging Maths lessons in line with In Toto Ed policies, ensuring differentiation and progression for all learners.
* Maintain classroom discipline, set clear learning targets, and establish high expectations.
* Keep accurate records, assess progress, and report regularly to parents and carers.
* Teach Maths from KS3 upwards, including Functional Skills and GCSE.
* Contribute to the Enrichment Programme and follow all safeguarding policies and procedures.
Administration
* Maintain attendance records and comply with school policies.
* Organise the classroom environment and supervise support staff effectively.
* Build community links to enhance students' understanding of Maths in real-world contexts.
* Stay up to date with subject developments and share knowledge with colleagues.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements and promote equal opportunities.
Departmental & Pastoral Duties
* Attend departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development and resource creation.
* Act as a form tutor, providing pastoral support and promoting students' wellbeing.
* Manage student behaviour positively and uphold school policies at all times.
Professional Responsibilities
* Support and foster the aims and values of the school.
* Attend meetings, INSET sessions, and parents' evenings as required.
* Engage in the performance management and appraisal process.
* Cover for absent colleagues and assist with examination invigilation when required.
* Ensure full adherence to safeguarding procedures.

About You
* Experience teaching English at KS3 and above, with the ability to deliver basic skills in other subjects.
* Strong subject knowledge, classroom management, and ability to motivate students of all abilities.
* Effective communication, organisational, and time-management skills.
* Willing to submit an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Check (DBS).
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant qualification/experience.
* Complete Child Protection Training. Promote and safeguard the welfare of all children and young person's they are responsible for, or come into contact with.
