As our Senior Legal Adviser, Privacy, you'll support our leaders, businesses, and functions, playing a vital role in shaping how we enable the use of data while governing privacy and digital legal risks across Bupa. How you'll help us make health happen!
* Support senior leaders, businesses, and functions across Bupa with privacy, digital, and AI expertise.
* Take the lead SME role on projects with global reach and strategic impact.
* Assist the Group Privacy Counsel with developing and maintaining the Enterprise Privacy Policy, standards, governance, and reporting to ensure compliance and mitigate risk.
* Provide escalation support for complex technical queries and ensure their effective, commercially sound resolution.
* Stay updated with external best practices and legal developments to ensure continuous improvement.
* Promote privacy awareness within the organization through activities and initiatives.
* Mentor and coach junior colleagues as required.
Requirements:
* Significant experience as a qualified solicitor or certified privacy professional with extensive knowledge of privacy, data, digital, and AI law/regulation/issues.
* In-house experience within a large, global, complex organization, preferably in healthcare, insurance, or healthtech.
* Experience working in matrixed roles with cross-functional dependencies.
* Strong background in negotiating complex global contracts, especially with tech providers offering cloud services.
* Proven ability to advise on privacy and digital aspects of multi-jurisdictional data sharing, cloud, and technology projects.
* Ability to thrive in fast-moving, evolving environments, focusing on practical, business-focused solutions.
* Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with a track record of building trusted relationships across teams and markets.
* Motivated to adopt new technologies, including AI productivity tools.
