Location: Bexley
Salary: £25,000+ (depending on experience)
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
We are looking for a dedicated Experienced SEMH Teaching Assistant to join our primary school in Bexley, supporting children from EYFS to KS2 within our Additional Resource Provision.
The Role:
You will support children with SEMH or behavioural needs, helping them to access learning, regulate their emotions, and develop positive behaviour. Key responsibilities include:
·Using de-escalation techniques and a calm, firm but fair approach
·Delivering emotional regulation strategies and movement/sensory breaks
·Promoting positive behaviour and supporting social development
·Working closely with teachers, staff, and families to ensure consistency
Skills & Experience:
·Experience working with children with SEMH or behavioural needs
·Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
·Ability to support emotional regulation and sensory/movement breaks
·Calm, firm but fair approach, promoting positive behaviour at all times
·Excellent communication and teamwork skills
