About The Role

Our Public Protection Team is instrumental in protecting public health and safety across this busy and varied district; from market towns to seaside resorts, the district presents a range of diverse and unique working environments and regulatory challenges.
You will work closely with businesses to ensure that they are producing, preparing and serving food which is safe to eat. You will also play an active role in ensuring that businesses comply with their duties under the Health and Safety at Work Act etc 1974.
As a key member of the Public Protection Team, the successful candidate will undertake regulatory activities including enforcement.
Please note there is one vacancy, and the level of appointment will be based on the essential criteria met.
About You
We’re looking for a self-motivated and qualified Environmental Health Professional, experienced in all aspects of food safety inspection and enforcement to join our highly regarded and experienced Environmental Health department.
The successful candidate will be passionate about delivering high quality public services and will have the right skills to deliver this, including a clear communication style, good customer service skills, and an ability to prioritize workload.
