Your new role The Assistant Management Accountant is predominantly responsible for preparing accurate and timely information to enable the Management Accountant to produce management reports. The role ensures the timely production of accurate monthly journals, assisting with monthly costing tasks, accruals and prepayments.
1. Reviewing monthly departmental cost reporting and discussing forecasts with senior management.
2. Maintenance of the database for material purchases and sourced product purchases, as a basis for annual production of standard costs.
3. merce and retail accounts preparation and distribution.
4. Posting and reconciling of cash paid/received and liaising with departments to reconcile the Cashbook on a daily and monthly basis.
5. Assist with the analysis of general ledger cost centres to support cost apportionment.
6. Analyse and reconcile monthly direct shipments to invoiced sales.
7. Monthly stock processing and valuations for the Management Accounts pack.
8. Costing of products and assisting with stocktakes.
9. Assistance with the preparation of the weekly/monthly KPI reporting and sales reports.
10. Preparation of manual revenue adjustments, cash discounts.
11. Reconciling of monthly control accounts.
12. Ensure purchase invoices are coded and unlogged in a timely manner.
13. Processing and reviewing monthly accruals and prepayments.
14. Filing intepany invoices and reconciling intepany balances.
15. Royalty reporting on a quarterly with Licensors.
16. Ad-hoc queries as requested by the Management Accountant and other departments.
Key Measures
17. Weekly/monthly and quarterly reporting/statementspleted within agreed deadlines.
18. All other reporting ispleted within the required timescales.
19. Quality of reportspleted, accuracy, clarity of explanations. Key eye for attention to detail to ensure all data provided is accurate.
20. Feedback from users of information.
21. Improvements in reporting, time taken and new reports
