Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Cell Culture Process Development Lead Scientist with experience in cell culture process development, characterization, statistical analysis, and data-driven decision-making. The successful candidate will lead matrix teams across various development stages and engage with clients in a customer-facing capacity.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead process characterization and technology transfer studies related to cell culture development.
* Manage and guide matrix teams to perform lab work across multiple process development stages.
* Manage workflows to meet project goals with minimal supervision.
* Conduct risk assessments using FMEA to identify critical process parameters.
* Perform routine mammalian cell culture workflows, including media prep, revival, and subculture.
* Design and execute experiments using DOE methodologies in bioreactors of 250mL and 10L scales.
* Analyze study results using tools like Excel, JMP, Design Expert, or Minitab.
* Collaborate with client technical representatives as the primary technical contact.
Key Requirements:
* PhD, MSc, or equivalent with experience in cell culture techniques and process development.
* Proven experience in cell culture process development and characterization studies.
* Strong knowledge of DOE methodologies, model qualification, and risk assessments (C&E, FMEA).
* Hands-on expertise in bioreactor operations at various scales.
* Experience with statistical tools such as Excel, JMP, Design Expert, and Minitab.
* Familiarity with biologics drug development, cGMP regulations, and large molecule development processes.
