Building Control Support Team is responsible for providing technical and administrative functions for all work undertaken by the Building Control Team, to achieve satisfactory performance in service delivery to residents and businesses located within the Borough. You will be responsibility for: processing income received through fees and charges including raising invoices for all services provided to external Clients and internal Departments, ensuring Council processes are followed diligently and that the LBE Constitution and Financial Regulations are followed. end-to-end processing of Building Control applications, contraventions, and dangerous structures, ensuring all are logged, validated, and registered, and casework handed to appropriate officers. ensuring document retention practice is compliant with GDPR and Council Retention Policy issuing statutory documents, such as Completion Certificates. processing competent persons data for Local Land Charges service users responding to customers and applicants using Building Control services As part of the Building Control Support Team, provide expert and impartial advice to clients, council officers, members as appropriate on matters relating to applications, payments, fees, statutory requirements, and contribute to developing policies, procedures, core standards to achieve best value in the delivery of the Building Control service. Support the work of Building Control in determining operational policy and improvement.
