Reporting to: Dual Site Manager
Hours: Full-time – 37.5 hours per week
Location: Vape Stop, Sunderland (with flexibility to support Chester-Le-Street as required)

What You Will Be Doing
As Assistant Store Manager, you’ll play a key role in the success of our Sunderland store, supporting the Dual Site Manager across all operational and leadership duties. You’ll act as a proxy for the Store Manager in their absence, ensuring continuity in performance, compliance, and customer experience.
You’ll also provide flexible support to our Chester-Le-Street store when needed, with Sunderland as your main base.

* Has previous experience in retail, ideally in a supervisor or team leader role

* Understands the importance of retail compliance (training will be provided)

* Is a strong communicator who can delegate, follow up, and motivate
* Can work flexibly across two locations to support store needs
* Embraces change and leads with a positive, solutions-focused mindset
Age Requirement
Applicants must be 18 years or older due to the sale of age-restricted products. Proof of age may be required as part of the recruitment process.
Job Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in overseeing the daily operations of the store, maintaining high service and operational standards.
* Step up to lead the store in the absence of the Dual Site Manager, ensuring business continuity and team support.
* Drive compliance with Challenge 25, Age Verification, and TPD (Tobacco Products Directive) regulations.
* Support the development and performance of the sales team, fostering a motivated and customer-first culture.
* Maintain high standards of visual merchandising and product presentation.
* Take ownership of key stock processes, including deliveries, stock checks, and replenishment.
* Work closely with the Dual Site Manager to achieve sales targets and store KPIs.
* Promote best practices in loss prevention and operational security.
* Complete delegated administrative duties in line with company processes and expectations.
