Lead the continued safety, quality, and compliance of a critical defence aviation programme

The role
As a Compliance and Air Safety Manager, you’ll play a key role in ensuring that all maintenance and air safety activities across the HADES programme are carried out in line with Military Regulatory Articles and ISO: standards. You will lead the audit programme, support continual improvement, and act as the nominated Air Safety Manager — making you central to the safe and compliant delivery of our aviation operations.
Day-to-day, you’ll be:
1. Acting as the HADES Form 4 Quality Manager in line with RA requirements (MRP .A.30)
2. Serving as the ISO : Lead Auditor and overseeing the full internal audit programme
3. Providing leadership and support for the Air Safety Management System and Quality Management System
4. Ensuring audit programmes assess all activities, validate controls and satisfy stakeholder requirements
5. Maintaining a continuous‑improvement framework that monitors performance, trends safety indicators and drives quality enhancements.
This role is full time working 39 hours per week and provides flexible and hybrid working arrangements, mainly based at RAF Cranwell, Lincolnshire. Please note, the role involves significant travel across all HADES locations.
Essential experience of the Compliance and Air Safety Manager:
6. Strong experience owning and operating a Quality Management System in the aircraft maintenance sector
7. Extensive auditing experience within the aviation maintenance environment
8. Knowledge of error‑management systems, Just Culture principles and investigation techniques
9. Experience embedding and sustaining continual improvement.
Qualifications for the Compliance and Air Safety Manager:
10. Military Regulatory Publication Part Form Four Quality Manager
11. International Organization for Standardization Lead.

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
