Job Title: Adult Social Worker – Learning Disabilities
Location: Swindon Council
Rate: £34 per hour
Job Description:
This role requires a dynamic worker with sound knowledge and understanding of the Care Act 2014 and Mental Capacity Act 2005 and a minimum of two years post-qualified experience and will hold a number of complex cases. The worker will be required to manage a caseload in addition to supporting duty functions. The team are based in the office 2 days a week but may also need to complete duty visits and assessments at short notice. The suitable candidate must be a car driver. Experience of Adult Safeguarding and multi-disciplinary working is also essential to the role and evidence of this would be preferred.

Qualifications and Experience:
7. Degree in Social Work or related field
8. Registration with the relevant professional body
9. Experience in adult social care
10. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
11. Strong advocacy and negotiation skills
12. Ability to work collaboratively with a range of professionals
