About Rushcliffe Care Group
Rushcliffe Care Group began in 1989 with a single care home. More than 35 years later, we have grown into a large and diverse organisation providing care, support, and education across Leicestershire, Derbyshire, and South Wales.
We employ over 1,300 staff across our network of care homes, independent hospitals, and specialist support services. Our portfolio includes mental health rehabilitation hospitals, nursing and dementia care homes, services for people with learning disabilities, and a neuro-rehabilitation unit for people recovering from brain injury. We also operate a specialist independent school for children and young people with autism.
Our Head Office in Loughborough supports the financial, administrative, and governance functions for all services across the Group, managing a substantial multi-site operation with varied income streams from local authorities, NHS partners, and private placements.
We are guided by our four core values: Reputable Care, Respect and Compassion, Robust Communication, and Real Commitment. These values underpin everything we do and shape the quality, professionalism, and accountability of our work.
About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Accounts Administrator to join our Finance Team at Epinal Way Care Centre, the Group’s Head Office in Loughborough.
This is a varied and detailed role, supporting the Finance Director with daily financial operations and month-end processes. You will work across Sage 200, Sage 50 Payroll, and invoicing systems to ensure all financial data is accurately entered, reconciled, and reported on time.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Maintaining sales and purchase ledgers, ensuring all invoices, payments, and receipts are processed accurately.
2. Assisting with month-end tasks such as journals, prepayments, accruals, and reconciliations.
3. Supporting payroll processing, including the preparation of wage journals and reports.
4. Managing credit control, chasing outstanding debts, and liaising with local authorities, CCGs, and other partners.
5. Reconciling petty cash, bank accounts, and prepaid top-up card statements.
6. Assisting with the preparation of management accounts and year-end liaison with auditors.
7. Providing cover for shared finance functions such as the Accounts inbox and purchasing system.
This role requires accuracy, reliability, and a strong sense of ownership. You will be working closely with the Finance Director, contributing to the efficient running of the Group’s central finance function.
About You
You will need:
8. AAT Level 4 qualification or working towards it.
9. Proven experience in accounts or purchasing, ideally within a multi-site organisation.
10. Strong IT skills with good working knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Office.
11. Experience using Sage 200, Sage 50 Payroll, or similar accounting software (desirable).
12. Excellent attention to detail, with a methodical and accurate approach to your work.
13. The ability to prioritise workload, meet deadlines, and communicate clearly with others.
14. A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and flexibility to support the wider team.
This role would suit someone confident working with figures who enjoys problem-solving and takes pride in maintaining accurate financial records.
We will be interviewing as applications are received and aim for the successful candidate to start within four weeks of interview.
