About the role:
We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead and enhance our brewing and processing teams, driving performance and operational excellence.
Role Responsibilities:
1. Implement operational changes to minimize costs while maintaining quality and service standards.
2. Foster a safety-first culture, ensuring compliance with all safety policies and procedures.
3. Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve results and enhance team capabilities, aiming for industry-leading practices.
4. Lead cost-saving initiatives, reward success, and build team skills.
5. Communicate strategies and performance metrics to stakeholders regularly.
6. Recruit, motivate, and develop a versatile production team.
7. Ensure good manufacturing practices and team upskilling.
8. Manage performance of direct reports, inspiring behavioral change and results.
Experience and Key Attributes:
1. Degree or equivalent in a relevant field, with experience in a blue-chip FMCG or food manufacturing company.
2. Recognized brewing qualification (e.g., IBD Diploma) or studying for it.
3. Proven experience in culture change and performance management in large FMCG businesses.
4. Knowledge of Lean tools and techniques for continuous improvement.
5. Strong leadership skills, including motivating, coaching, and developing teams.
6. Legal right to work in the UK or ability to obtain it.
