Menzies Distribution Solutions is recruiting for Warehouse Operatives to join the team in Wakefield. The role involves accurate and prompt picking, packing and dispatch of depot warehouse goods and requires completing various tasks safely, accurately and efficiently, upholding the highest standards of health and safety. Other duties to support efficient warehouse operations.
The Details
* Salary: £23,891.92 Per Annum, £12.25 Per Hour
* Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday
* Hours: 09:00 - 17:00
* 37.5 hours per week
* Monthly Pay
* Annual Leave: 28 Days Inclusive of Bank Holidays
Warehouse Operative Duties
* Co-operate fully with the site’s safety requirements
* Receive deliveries of customer stock from trailers into warehouse. Check quantities, record receipt and pass on paperwork
* Pick and pack customer orders to achieve agreed turn-round targets, dispatching orders with appropriate paperwork. Both full pallet and manual case/break picked from the racking and ground locations
* Load trailers with customer goods in a timely manner
* Put away of customer goods from the warehouse floor into the racking
* Manual handling of products
* Signing for and accepting responsibility for tasks that have been completed
* Housekeeping, both physical completion and hygiene checks
* Stock integrity and quality checks
* Keep warehouse and outside forecourts clean and tidy including shelf dusting, keeping gangways clear and litter removal
* Will be required to drive PPT
About You
* Good Communication & team working skills
* Experience operating within a warehouse environment
* Basic numeracy and literacy skills
* A professional manner
* MHE – Articulated/Counterbalance/PPT licenses preferable
