Role Overview
Based in the depot, the Hire Desk Controller plays a key role at the heart of our operations. You’ll be on the front line of sales and customer service, building strong relationships and making a real difference to our customers’ experience. From taking enquiries to arranging delivery and collection, you’ll coordinate the entire hire process, working closely with teams across the depot to ensure everything runs smoothly.
Daily Responsibilities
You’ll be mainly desk‑based, collaborating with colleagues across departments. You’ll regularly liaise with stock teams, drivers and engineers to make sure customers get the equipment they need, when they need it – with minimal delays and maximum satisfaction.
Qualifications & Skills
* Strong organisational skills
* Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
* Adaptability and a flexible approach
* A genuine willingness to learn and develop
* A full driving licence
* Previous experience in the hire industry or a similar sales/operations role (desirable)
