Overview
ABP UK – Ellesmere, England, United Kingdom. Role involves maintenance and operation support within a busy production/warehouse environment.
Responsibilities
* Ensure all MHE equipment is serviceable and charged at all times. Report faults immediately and keep keys secure. Sign off start-up checks daily by operators.
* Operate scanners per procedures to ensure all products are scanned; report any faults to IT/Maintenance promptly. Maintain a clean and tidy area at all times.
* Regularly verify produced products are scanned and appear on the palletisation report. Report any shortages to the departmental Champion.
* Ensure an adequate number of trailers are available. Lease with Morris Transport when short. Report any unserviceable trailers to the shunter as soon as possible.
* Keep job observations up to date. The bay Champion will conduct regular checks.
* When loading trailers, complete a loading plan and attach it to the final paperwork once the trailer is fully loaded. The form should include the loader’s signature.
* Provide support to ensure shorts pallets are completed, liaise with transport for required arrangements, and coordinate with stocks for shorts sheets and amendments. Timely information production and loading; coordinate with production on expected shorts and chase if delayed.
* Ensure all scanned pallets are stacked correctly, safely, and securely wrapped for loading.
* Check returns from Pentons/Coldstore against notifications, and inform involved parties in processing those returns.
* Maintain a daily count of trays and pallets (clean, dirty, broken) and report before 07:00 hrs to the despatch office.
* Report faults with the tray wash machine to the Raw Materials Manager and Maintenance immediately.
* Coordinate with the despatch office regarding shortages, washing programme, and daily delivery/unloading of trays.
* Ensure any product requiring reworking is returned to production promptly.
* Adhere to company hygiene practices and safe food production; comply with health and safety rules to minimise accident risk.
* Attend team meetings as required by the manager and participate in training per your personal training plan.
* Carry out additional duties as reasonably requested by the manager.

* Background in maintenance of a busy production line.
* Good interpersonal skills and the ability to multitask.
