Shearline Precision Engineering is seeking a multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer with a strong Electrical and Mechanical background who can undertake various planned, reactive, and proactive maintenance tasks supporting the overall function of machinery/equipment, identifying faults and solutions alike. This is a production environment, and the individual must be conversant with machine maintenance and repair and be willing to work occasionally out of hours if necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform maintenance, fault diagnosis, and repair tasks on CNC Mills and Lathes.
* Willing to engage with a changing work environment, which will involve occasional out-of-hours work.
* Maintain and support the building facilities, including plumbing and electrical installation.
* Maintain and support production electronic/electrical systems.
* Working as part of a team and supporting production and operations.
* Implement solutions to help improve machine reliability and quality issues.
* Updating Logs/Documentation for repairs and PPM.
Essential Criteria:
* Working with and having an in-depth knowledge and experience of Electrical, Mechanical, pneumatics, and programming knowledge is essential.
* Knowledge of CNC and PC controlled systems.
* Knowledge of PLC-controlled systems and their energised components.
* Team working and flexibility with an open attitude
* Capable of effective prioritisation of tasks and personal time management
* Able to work unsupervised and prioritise their own time and activities
* Have strong Electrical fault-finding skills supporting fast and effective problem-solving
* Able to demonstrate a proven ability in troubleshooting and recovering equipment in a dynamic environment
