Welding Supervisor - Sizewell B Power Station
Contract type: Fixed term until 30.06.2026 approx.
Start Date: Pending CTC clearance
Salary: £24.22ph NAECI Rates
This will be for outage works with 13 on 1 off shift pattern + 10 hour shifts!
You will have an hourly bonus on top of the above rate of £2.37 + £2 responsibility bonus!
We are currently looking for a Welding Supervisor to join our Team at Sizewell B.
In order to be qualified for the position you will need to be CTC Cleared or be willing to undergo CTC clearance.
Key Responsibilities
* Allocate and monitor welding related tasks to those under his control to achieve the required levels of performance and productivity.
* Completion of site welding quality records and traceability for consumables, materials and plant items.
* Estimating, ordering and deployment of welding related consumables and equipment.
* Implement safety procedures e.g. risk assessments, method statements, permit to work, Improvement ,observation process etc
* Oversee welding consumable control and welding stores.
* Complete pre and post weld inspections of weld and equipment set-ups to ensure compliance with specified standards, procedures and work Instructions.
* Monitor Hazard awareness, including continuously reinforce Focus2Zero message for all site activities including error traps and Focus2Zero Error Prevention Tools.
* Liaison with sub-contracts/commercial function to define
Key Requirements:
* Full Apprenticeship in relevant trade or NVQ 3 or equivalent in Welding
* ECITB SMTD Modules as required
* CCNSG Safety Passport or IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH Cert
* CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector
* NVQ / QCF 3 (or above) in Supervisory Management
