A Software Asset Manager is responsible for the effective management and oversight of all software assets throughout their life cycle. This role focuses on optimising software usage, ensuring compliance with licensing agreements, and minimising costs associated with software assets. Key Responsibilities Asset Management * Maintain an accurate inventory of software assets, including licenses, usage, and entitlements via Ticketing and asset system. * Monitor software life cycles, ensuring timely renewals and upgrades. Compliance and documentation: * Ensure compliance with software licensing agreements and audits. * Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to address any licensing issues. * Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures regarding procurement and finance. * Assist in the documentation and filing of contracts, agreements, and other financial records. * Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information. Usage Optimisation: * Analyse software usage data to identify underutilised or unnecessary applications. * Recommend alternatives or consolidations to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
