Claims Advocate - Wholesale Professional Indemnity – Design & Construction & PI
Are you an experienced PI Claims professional ideally with knowledge of London Market claims processes and procedures? Are you excited to join a claims team that handles PI design and construction claims on behalf of some of the world's most recognised Professional Services Groups?
We offer a fantastic hybrid role with flexibility to work both virtually and from our Chelmsford office with occasional travel to London for client or business needs.

What the day will look like
In this exciting role, you will be primarily responsible for the management, strategy and process for the notification, agreement, collection and successful settlement of a portfolio of Financial Lines claims. Your key responsibilities will include:
* First notification of loss for Design and Construction PI claims
* Negotiation and liaison with markets, clients, placement teams, specialists, network offices, underwriters and appointed authorities (loss adjusters, lawyers etc)
* Conduct data analysis to establish the claims history for a particular client or business portfolio, and to identify trends and patterns in claims for a client or business segment
* Negotiate the payment and settlement of claims with clients and underwriters
* Coordinate discussions and, where appropriate, meetings to ensure superior communication between the client, underwriter and their representatives concerning the proposed settlement
* Engage with the Head of Professional Lines Advocacy in the strategy to conclude contentious claims
* Daily use of ECF with market and client facing claims advocacy
* Work as part of the team and autonomously
* Office attendance minimum two days and three days per week on a rotational basis
* Detailed knowledge of the product line, with at least 5+ years London market experience
* Opportunity to work on other PI lines of business, including Architects, Engineers, Brokers E & O, law firms

Skills and experience that will lead to success
* Detailed experience in handling claims for national and international design and construction firms, including architects and engineers, sub contractors etc of at least 5+ years London market experience
* Experience with client and market facing requirements, including organizing and participating in person and team meetings
* Previous experience interacting with senior client stakeholders and risk managers would be advantageous
* Handling single project specific, annual and binding facility placements
* Knowledge of Professional Indemnity Claims and the ability to coordinate with networks, clients, underwriters and experts
* Experience of the CLASS and ECF Processing system (preferred)
* Proficient in Word and Excel
* Strong interpersonal skills
* Full cycle client account ownership from FNOL to settlement conclusion
* Keen to apply product line knowledge to enable exceptional client claims outcomes
