Mechanical Engineer
who brings
specific experience with downhole tools. This is a highly collaborative role within a multidisciplinary team tackling some of the industry's toughest engineering challenges–from high–pressure, high–temperature environments to mechanical dynamics, corrosion, and wear. The Role:
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a key role in the
design, development, and testing
of downhole tools. You'll be expected to validate your work through engineering calculations, contribute to experimental setups, and participate in hands–on shop floor testing. This role requires both
practical and analytical expertise, with opportunities to work on products used in both Oil & Gas and emerging geothermal markets. Your Responsibilities Will Include:
Designing mechanical assemblies for downhole applications
Substantiating designs with calculations and FEA analysis
Developing test setups and participating in test execution
Producing comprehensive documentation (design reports, test results, specifications)
Supporting manufacturing and suppliers with technical queries
Reviewing and approving engineering drawings and specifications
Collaborating across teams to enhance product reliability and innovation
What You'll Need:
Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Minimum 6 years of experience in mechanical design
Proven experience with downhole tools is essential
Understanding of materials, coatings, and mechanical properties
Proficiency with FEA (static and dynamic) and CFD interpretation
Hands–on experience with manufacturing methods and shop floor testing
Excellent communication and documentation skills
Familiarity with 3D CAD systems (Creo preferred)
