Year 1 Teacher Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging and creative lessons for Year 1 pupils, following the National Curriculum and reflecting the school's Catholic ethos.
* Differentiate teaching to support the diverse learning needs of all pupils, ensuring that each child makes excellent progress.
* Create a nurturing, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that promotes early learning and development.
* Use effective assessment methods to monitor pupil progress and inform future teaching.
* Collaborate with colleagues and the leadership team to deliver high-quality learning experiences.
* Communicate positively with parents and carers regarding pupil progress, wellbeing, and spiritual development.
* Participate actively in the wider life of the school, including assemblies, liturgical celebrations, and community events.
Year 1 Teacher Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* Experience teaching in Key Stage 1, ideally in Year 1.
* Strong understanding of early years and Key Stage 1 curriculum and assessment.
* Excellent classroom management, communication, and organisational skills.
* Passionate about creating engaging, child-centred learning experiences.
* A team player with a reflective and collaborative approach to teaching.
