Your new role
As a Consultant Ecologist, you will support the delivery of a variety of ecological projects from initial survey work through to reporting and client engagement.
Key duties will include:
1. Undertaking a range of ecological surveys, including habitat and protected species assessments
2. Producing technical reports such as Preliminary Ecological Appraisals and Ecological Impact Assessments
3. Supporting project delivery and working alongside multidisciplinary teams
4. Assisting with project coordination, timelines and clientmunication
5. Contributing to business development and proposal preparation where required
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will have:
6. A relevant degree in Ecology, Environmental Science or a related discipline
7. Previous experience in an ecological consultancy or similar environment
8. Strong report writing skills and attention to detail
9. A good working knowledge of UK wildlife legislation and planning policy
10. Experience undertaking protected species and habitat surveys
11. A full UK driving licence
Desirable:
12. Protected species licences ( bats or great crested newts)
13. Membership of CIEEM or working towards this
14. Experience with Biodiversity Net Gain assessments
15. GIS knowledge or skills
