Assistant Contracts Manager
£40, per annum
Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm
South Woodham Ferrers, Essex
We are seeking a proactive and organised Assistant Contracts Manager to support the Contracts Director in overseeing construction projects from pre-contract meetings through to completion. This role involves managing site operations, health & safety, labour planning, cost control, and client documentation to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and to a high standard. 1. Reporting to the Contracts Director.
2. Attending pre contract meetings.
3. Attending the contract(s) and meetings as required in London.
4. Producing, agreeing and managing site programmes as required.
5. Requesting materials in a timely fashion for the projects
6. Ensuring an accurate site diary of the location and the work done of each person.
7. Sourcing all site labour required for the project
8. Planning and managing site labour levels as required.
9. Organising site structure / hierarchy.
10. Health & safety - delivering and maintaining safe working conditions.
11. Producing and actioning method statements, risk assessments & COSHH
12. Ensuring toolbox talks are carried out on the project(s) at least fortnightly.
13. Actively promoting safe working attitude and procedures.
14. Recording all accidents, should they occur.
15. Advising on any training gaps of the team.
16. Overseeing the site-based training of new trainees & integrate them into the team.
17. Managing and reporting on the cost allowances document.
18. Notifying any concerns with the estimated costs within 14 days of the project being handed over.
19. Agreeing and confirming price work / day work with the operatives.
20. Processing fortnightly wage allocations for the accounts dept.
21. Tracking and monitoring expenditure across the project.
22. Assisting in estimate production & sign off.
23. Recording and estimating variations and notify the QS.
24. Receiving variation confirmation before undertaking any works.
25. Producing an O&M manual if required.
26. Issuing customer satisfaction document on each project.
Experiences required:
27. Experience in a similar role, overseeing construction sites ideal
28. Knowledge of safe working practices, including producing method statements, risk assessments, COSHH documentation, and conducting regular toolbox talks.
