Overview
Clerical Assistant role at Renfrewshire Council. You will be based within a school providing clerical support to the team. You will receive training on duties and systems on site from your line manager and work both on your own initiative and as part of a team supporting the Management Team within the school.
Responsibilities
* Word processing and document production
* Data input into electronic systems
* Reception and access control duties
* Cash handling
* Support the ordering and procurement of supplies
* Deal with mail, telephone and email enquiries
* General clerical support
Qualifications and experience
* Experience of working in a clerical role within an office environment
* Knowledge of common IT systems including databases and Microsoft Office
* Effective customer service, organisational and time management skills
* Desirable: knowledge of SEEMIS, PECOS and Microsoft Outlook
* Desirable: SVQ Level 2 in Business Administration (or equivalent) or Customer Service Professional Award
* Experience of working with different agencies and use of purchasing systems is desirable
* If successful, you will be required to become a PVG Scheme Member
