Our client, an independent specialist school in Westbury, is seeking a dynamic and inspiring Headteacher to lead their team. The school caters to boys and girls aged 7:17, providing a high:quality, therapeutic, and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership: Provide clear, authentic, and inspiring leadership to drive positive change and ensure the schools continued success.
*
Curriculum Development: Coordinate and deliver a holistic, creative, and academically engaging curriculum that places pupil needs at the centre of learning.
*
Operational Management: Oversee all aspects of school management, including staff leadership, professional collaboration, and pupil safeguarding.
*
Teaching and Learning: Deliver high:quality teaching for 0.4 of the timetable, with a focus on Maths and/or English to GCSE level, and vocational courses.
*
Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate effectively with industry professionals, local authorities, parents, and carers to provide comprehensive support for every student.
Essential Requirements:
*
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): A proven record of good or outstanding teaching practice.
*
SEND and SEMH Expertise: Extensive experience working with children with SEMH and SEND, including managing challenging behaviour and supporting those with adverse childhood experiences.

Teaching Capability: The ability and willingness to teach Maths and/or English to GCSE level, and experience in delivering vocational BTEC, Functional Skills, or ELC courses.
*
Leadership and Management: Strong management skills and the ability to work effectively with various professional networks.
*
Passion and Resilience: A genuine commitment to making a tangible difference in the lives of vulnerable children.

Safeguarding: A deep:seated commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
