Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Lead Project Manager with a strong background in Overhead Lines (OHL) and/or Substation projects to join our team on an interim basis for an initial 6‑ to 12‑month period. This role provides continuity and leadership on major transmission programmes while recruitment for a permanent position is underway.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide senior project leadership across major electrical transmission works.
* Lead the delivery planning and execution of a new 400kV GIS substation build.
* Manage governance, cost, schedule, risk, and reporting activities in alignment with internal processes and HV procedures.
* Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure safe and efficient project delivery.
* Support mobilisation activities in preparation for construction starting in summer 2026.
* Ensure full compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
Skills & Experience Required
* Proven experience working at a Lead Project Manager level within the high‑voltage transmission environment.
* Strong knowledge of 275kV-400kV systems, governance, and HV project processes.
* Technical background in OHL or substation engineering and construction, ideally including GIS‑based substations.
* Excellent leadership, communication, stakeholder‑management, and coordination abilities.
* Comfortable working across both site‑based and office‑based environments.
* Duration: 6–12 months
* Start: Immediate
* Role expected to support preparatory and delivery phases leading into summer 2026 and beyond.
