Job OverviewWe are seeking an enthusiastic, upbeat, & ambitious B2B Utility Sales Consultant to oversee the end-to-end sales journey for electricity, gas, and utility services for SME business owners across the UK. You must have a proven track record of delivering excellent customer service (phone, email, and in-person), while consistently achieving individual and team sales targets. Go Low Carbon is a well-established, customer-focused, multi-utility broker in the B2B world. Our continued success is driven by ensuring every client receives the best-fit solution for their energy demands and carbon reduction goals, along with the best customer service in the industry. We compare supplier tariffs not only on cost, but also on carbon footprint, offering business owners a greener, more sustainable choice. To date, we have helped clients save £millions while avoiding tens of thousands of tonnes of carbon emissions by switching to cheaper, greener tariffs.
Key Responsibilities
* Responsible for new client relationship development, including direct sales of B2B utility services (Electricity, Gas, Water)
* Manage and grow your own network resulting in a robust portfolio of SME clients
* Assess customer requirements and recommend the most suitable supplier contracts with justification
* Promote carbon-neutral and low-carbon utility contracts and clearly explain the peripheral benefits
* Oversee the full sales cycle from initial contact to contract completion
* Ensure personal sales targets are consistently achieved – plus contribute to team target achievement
* Deliver an unwavering, personal customer experience at all times
* Liaise with the Customer Happiness Team to ensure post‑sale processes run efficiently
* Represent Go Low Carbon at trade shows, exhibitions, networking events, and marketing activities
Skill Requirements
Key Skills & Experience
* Previous B2B sales experience (utility brokerage experience preferred but not essential)
* Confident telephone and email manner with strong negotiation skills
* Target‑driven mindset with a proven ability to close deals
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* Basic IT skills (CRM systems, email, Microsoft Office)
* Understanding of UK business utilities (desirable but training provided)
* Professional, ethical, and customer‑focused approach
* Dynamic, self‑motivated, and proactive
* Ambitious with a desire for personal growth and career progression
* Strong attention to detail and ability to work in an organised manner
