Mechanical Project Supervisor - Water Treatment (New Build)Location: South Dorset: £425 per day (Temp)Employer: Tier 1 Contractor
We're recruiting for a Mechanical Project Supervisor to support major new-build water treatment works across South Dorset. This role is with a Tier 1 contractor delivering large-scale clean water infrastructure projects.Role Overview
* Supervise mechanical installation works on new-build water treatment schemes
* Oversee subcontractors and ensure high-quality workmanship
* Monitor progress, safety, and compliance across mechanical activities
* Support commissioning of pumps, pipework, valves, tanks, and process equipment
* Ensure all works meet project specifications, industry standards, and H&S requirements
* Liaise with project engineers, site managers, and client representatives
Requirements
* Essential: Previous experience supervising mechanical works on new-build water treatment plants
* Background with Tier 1 contractors or major utilities frameworks
* Relevant mechanical qualifications (NVQ/HNC/HND or equivalent)
* Strong understanding of mechanical systems used in water treatment environments
* Proven ability to manage subcontractors and maintain site discipline

o CSCS/ECS Card
o EUSR National Water Hygiene Card
o SMSTS
o First Aid at Work
o City & Guilds Authorised Person Module
