Finance Assistant (German Speaking) £ 25,000 Glasgow, UK (in office 3x a week, 2x per week at home) Calling all German speakers! If you’re a finance whiz and thrive on adventure, love the outdoors, and have a passion for travel, then this could be the role you’ve been waiting for! As part of our Finance team, you’ll play a pivotal role in making sure our suppliers are paid on time and our customers enjoy a smooth, stress-free journey. You’ll report directly to our Finance Manager and get the chance to grow your skills as a Finance Assistant while being right at the heart of our operations. Based in our vibrant Skypark office in Finnieston, Glasgow, you’ll join a passionate global team where you’ll make a real impact every single day. What you’ll do ; Process multicurrency supplier invoices into our accounting system (Netsuite). Process weekly supplier payment runs. Reconcile supplier statements and ensure supplier accounts are accurate and up to date. Answer queries from suppliers & other departments by email & telephone. Be proactive in building relationships with our suppliers and other internal teams, especially those based in Germany. Process and reconcile credit card transactions. Process staff expenses. Assist in the month end process for monthly Management reporting. Post bank transactions weekly and perform bank reconciliations. Reconcile the Accounts Receivable report and ensure all customer receipts due are received and correctly allocated in a timely manner. Process customer refunds and deposit transfers. Assist with the preparation for the Year End Audit. Other Ad Hoc Duties as required. What you’ll bring ; Fluent in German and English. Experience in a similar role with a passion for our business and travel, or an eagerness to learn new skills and move into a finance role. Exceptional interpersonal skills and a strong team player. Problem solving skills and an ability to think outside the box to identify ways to improve processes. Skilled user of MS packages, most specifically Excel. Strong organisational skills and good attention to detail. Flexibility and ability to adapt to different situations in a fast-growing business. Not essential, it would be a bonus if you have; NetSuite Experience. The knowledge and skills we’ve listed represent “the perfect candidate”.
