This role will cover the area of Hampshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire and West Sussex.

Applicants need to be located within these areas and have a proven track record in Specification Sales, selling into Healthcare & Education sectors.


Job Purpose


Reporting directly to the Regional Sales Manager, and forming an integral part of the Sales Team, this role is responsible for interacting with architects and designers, end users, and Main Contractors, to specify key projects to existing and new customers and support the specification targets in our Health. Aged Care and Education segments.


Roles & Responsibilities


* Immerse in and fully understand Health, Aged Care and Education segment, customers & end user needs to become a trusted expert and authority on solutions and specifications within the segment
* Develop engagement and relationships with, architects, interior designers, NHS trusts, private healthcare groups, aged care groups, local authorities, councils, universities, student accommodation providers, main contractors & framework partners, with the aim to create a strong network and a preference for Tarke
* Increase Tarkett brand awareness and position with a key focus on promoting our expertise, brand values and sustainability proposition
* Focus on specification development, self-generate, qualify, prioritise and follow-up project lead in order to specify Tarkett
* Provide product information and present fit for purpose solutions to the customers and answer technical questions
* Be able to present design solutions and concepts, according to the latest and future trends and in line with customer aspirations
* Be proficient in the delivery of Life Cycle Cost analysis and VREP presentations
* Participate in exhibitions and industry events
* Deliver company presentations to targeted audiences i.e. CPD’s, training
* Pro-active professional networking to new and existing main contractors and framework partners customers:
* Build new and maintain relationships with key decision makers at Head/Regional office level. (Buyers, QS, Project Managers)
* Gain full understanding of customers operations and their business
* Exchanging and sharing information on project pipeline to secure Tarkett specifications, alongside Trade Team
* Create preference for Tarkett in value engineering opportunities in collaboration with Trade team in unspecified day to day business
* Pro-active professional networking and presenting to new and existing estate department and facility management customers (healthcare, aged care and education):
* Build new and maintain relationships with key decision makers
* Create preference for Tarkett in value engineering opportunities in unspecified day to day refurbishments
* Identify opportunities for future Tarkett specifications
* Participate in weekly internal project meetings conducted by Trade Sales Manager, to ensure specified projects are converted
* Maintain well documented project pipeline, customer contact details, etc. received from conversations and meetings with customers within CRM to enable systematic sales activities
* Maintain high level of knowledge of the following products: Carpet Tiles, Luxury Vinyl Tiles, Homogeneous and Heterogeneous Vinyl, Linoleum, Sports Flooring, including competitor products and their positioning against Tarkett/Desso products
* Develop and share market intelligence relevant to targeted customer base
* Ensure all administration is completed, e-diary is maintained, database is fully utilised, and journeys are planned effectively and efficiently
* Ensure all customers, projects and price quotations are entered and thoroughly documented within CRM
