About the Role:
Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
Ensuring all loads are secure and arranged in drop order.
Performing daily vehicle checks to maintain roadworthiness.
Adhering to all current driving legislation and company safety standards.
Delivering goods promptly and professionally, resolving any delivery issues as they arise.
Following procedures to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective offloading and distribution.
Returning to the depot promptly after deliveries to assist with further tasks as needed.
Maintaining a high standard of health and safety at all times.
Demonstrating a proactive, customer-focused attitude and contributing to the performance and profitability of the business.
Candidate Requirements:
Valid
HGV Class 2 licence
and up-to-date
CPC certification
(CPC training can be provided if required).
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Strong communication skills - confident, personable, and presentable.
Able to meet delivery deadlines and work under pressure.
Experience in handling and delivering metals or similar materials is preferred but not essential.
