Responsibilities
* Assisting clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
* Supporting patients with medication administration and health monitoring
* Preparing nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements
* Providing emotional support and companionship to clients of all ages, including children and seniors
* Managing behaviour and implementing care plans for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's, or other cognitive impairments
* Assisting with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment
* Driving clients to appointments or social activities as required
* Responding promptly to emergencies with appropriate first aid procedures
* Engaging in activities that promote mental and physical well-being
Experience
* Previous experience in assisted living, nursing home, or home care settings is highly desirable
* Knowledge of dementia, Alzheimer's, hospice, and senior care practices
* Experience in medication administration and behaviour management techniques
* Familiarity with caregiving duties such as meal preparation and heavy lifting when necessary
* Certification or training in first aid is advantageous but not essential; training can be provided for suitable candidates
* Valid driving licence preferred for roles involving transportation of clients
