About the role: A typical day for a Data Scientist in our team looks like this: · Writing code to process raw images and produce quantification algorithms that turn raw numbers into metrics that are meaningful for our customers. · Working with our R&D team to consolidate early proof-of-concepts into solid prototypes. · Contributing to the design, prototyping, testing, and integration of automated image processing and data science components into our production pipelines. Who we are looking for: To succeed as a Data Scientist, we do need you to have experience of: · Proficiency coding in Python, with experience in libraries for computer vision and signal analysis · Experience in traditional computer vision and image analysis methods (e.g. segmentation, filtering, model fitting, etc.) · Understanding of software development best practices, e.g. clean code, CI/CD Nice to have: · Experience in deep learning methods for image processing and signal analysis · Experience in working with datasets produced by microscopy tools, in particular electron microscopy and atomic force microscopy. Education / Qualifications: · Master’s degree in STEM or higher, or BSc with a clear equivalent path through relevant apprenticeship or accumulated experience.
